My one-year AEL journey at CUHK was challenging yet incredibly rewarding. There will be weeks when you are juggling readings and presentations on different topics, but that is where the growth happens. Do not hesitate to reach out to our lovely professors, they are as interested in your questions as your answers. 🙂

This program does not just prepare me with linguistic knowledge, it also encourages me to question and reevaluate every idea I encounter. I gradually learned to think independently and not to blindly follow what is “popular” or “established”. I believe that is the greatest gift the program provides: it raises the bar for how you think, not just what you know. Whether your path leads to academia, education, policy, tech, or beyond, this critical thinking ability will always be the compass.
