Carolyn Liu is a fourth year undergraduate English major studying at the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a concentration on the creative writing stream. With her studies focusing on both English literature and linguistics, she is interested in academic research and creative writing, especially short stories and poetry.
In previous years, Carolyn has explored different fields of work including primary and secondary school English pedagogy, as well as copywriting, editorial and communicative work at the D. H. Chen Foundation as an intern. She is currently working as a student research assistant for a Linguistic project at the University of Hong Kong and a part-time English translator of Chinese creative prose. In her free time, she likes to write poems on her social media account.
As Carolyn continues to explore in the field of creative work and research, she believes she will be continually motivated and inspired by the power of words.
