Title of Dissertation: An Investigation on the International Intelligibility of Hong Kong English (HKE): Do the Segmental and Suprasegmental Features of HKE have influences on the intelligibility of HKE?

Supervisor: Professor Jette Hansen Edwards

My research focuses on examining the intelligibility of Hong Kong English. The thesis is a mixed method study that aims at locating HKE in the World Englishes context with the use of a specialized computer system to find out the intelligibility of Hong Kong English to people of different L1s.
