Writing Wisely and Tragically: An Analysis of F. Scott Fitzgerald's Pessimism and His Changing Shape of Hope in the American Context

An enquiry into three representative novels of Fitzgerald's to trail his philosophy of pessimism and hope in the increasingly disoriented social climate from early to mid 20th century America, and its effect on his conception and critique of the American dream.
